This featured CREator has worked in marketing for a while, but he has never stayed stagnant. Meet the face behind the TechNest podcast, Nate Smoyer. His current role is Director of Marketing for a real estate tech startup targeting DIY landlords, but Nate’s background includes launching an advertising agency plus his successful real estate tech podcast. From day one, Nate has never stopped learning or pushing the boundaries.

Nate’s digital presence demonstrates how to use digital marketing to promote your personal brand or CRE agency.

Podcasting

Nate is transparent that TechNest started as a way to promote his business, Real Team Panda, an agency he founded and acts as CEO. But the topics and content were so engaging, that the podcast is evolving.

TechNest tells our stories. Launched in June 2018, over four seasons Nate has highlighted the founders and leaders of real estate companies working to transform the way we buy, sell, and invest in real estate. His podcast features the voices disrupting our industry.

This isn’t your standard, Q&A style podcast. Nate’s engaging and conversational approach draw out interesting details. Since launch, he’s cultivated a killer playlist packed with interesting insights into how startups have tackled challenges and found opportunities.

LinkedIn

Nate cultivated nearly 7k LinkedIn followers using LinkedIn Publishing. Currently he’s not as active on the platform, probably due to the launch of TechNest, but he’s still reading and commenting on the platform. His profile is a case study on how to growth hack your LinkedIn profile.

Twitter

Want to build some marketing street cred? How about a Twitter profile pic with you and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg?

Twitter is Nate’s conversation starter place. He uses it for a clear theme: real estate and technology. Posts mix of TechNest promotion with content aligned with his role with Avail, a resource for landlords. You’ll find relevant content about being a landlord or managing rental properties. See:

Instagram

It’s hard to be all business all the time. Nate’s Instagram is for more personal posts. Did you know he’s an avid BMX fan? Check out the BMX videos. His adorable pup Mr. Fox makes guest appearances–perhaps leveraging people’s obsession with dogs to his advantage? Smart play.

One feature on his Instagram that is cool is the Highlight reel of the books he’s read. It shows proof he’s always learning. Get inspired ideas for your next great read.
